Green Hotel

the service is very good in this hotel, and the location of the hotel is very good for golf. But the room is a bit old.

Very out dated we use to go a lot and Windlestrae when was there .curtains ripped scratches on tops of table all scratched ,carpet stained and dirty .certainly would not pay wat says on website.we booked 3rd party which is Cheeper ,staff are so friendly and jocks bar food was nice not great choice

First impressions foyer and communal area so far so good.Rooms tell a different story .Large rooms beautiful garden view but my word worn doesn't touch it.There was no way I could have taken a shower mouldy tiles filthy shower curtain for a start.Resturant closed due to being occupied by golf outing.Bar food overpriced. Ordered mac cheese with skinny fries.instead of coming back and saying no skinny fries served chunky cut fries covered in some kind of cheese/sauce.6 adults came to see a group in music venue which was fab but let down by everything else.Would not take much to bring this hotel to an acceptable standard.

Me and my wife spent two nights at The Green Hotel for my wife’s birthday.The lovely welcome at reception was followed by the great service from the hotel staff and and all the meals were breakfast,lunch and dinner the food was well presented and good quality.We very much enjoyed our two nights stay and finished our stay off with buying a litre bottle off the local Loch Leven Gin from the hotel as a momento off our stay.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in!! The whole place feels *******. I have a king bed with 1 pillow, spiders everywhere. The wall paper is peeling, the carpet in my room is all lifted. I have some sort of trouser press thing that looks like it’s from the dawn of time… bathroom lights are flickering to add to the uneasy feel. Outside of the not so secure looking door is much worse. The floors are that squeaky I feel like I will fall through, theres tape on every inch of the dated green carpet and there’s ominous armchairs in every corner. It absolutely does not look like the photos, Barr the reception which is quite pleasant and leads you into a false sense of security. A quick google search will help you understand how uneasy this place makes you feel. Hopefully I leave here alive tomorrow!!

This was our 2nd visit to The Green Hotel as we were attending a Gig at Backstage at the Green. I have to say this stay was nowhere near as good. We were in a standard room with breakfast. The pillows in room were dreadful so flat and small and there were no spares in the room, so my nights sleep wasn't great. The TV should at least be Smart TV,but was only a free view with not many channels. Breakfast was a buffet service, when we were previously staying it was cooked to order. The fried eggs on the buffet were brick.hard with lying under hest lamps and several items were a bit dry and it took a while to replenish things that had run out. All in all an OK stay but could have been better

Rooms clean enough, but in poor condition, in need of decoration and upgrade, Food Okay but small portions, and menu repeated not a great choice, Steak extra cost on top that would be acceptable if the quality was in the steak but its not great quality, Water in shower cold at best warm, bathroom required a good makeover as this had lots of black mould in shower/bath tiles, Beds were uncomfortable. It is a shame because staff are nice and the golf was great, As we were down as a group golfing this was sufficient but I feel that money needs to spent to improve the stay for customers, maybe they get there money too easy because of the convenient location of the golf courses. I would go again but as mentioned only as golf break. 4 out of 10 sorry.

Room was clean…but very old and outdated, for the price we paid per night i was expecting far more…and something that looked more like the photos online. Staff nice and breakfast was alright, busy not quite what it was made out to be. Room photos online well selected and very very well lit! For example the statue water feature profile is about a foot tall…😆

This hotel is one to avoid! Rooms are outdated and in need of major renovation and repairs. Beds albeit are super king but had no mattress protection neither did the pillows. Bedding was threadbare. Bathroom was something from the 70’s era but did the purpose. Carpets were stained and also threadbare. Staff although were friendly were in occasion rude and sometimes ignored. We are in the bar menu was okay but nothing startling - hubby ordered the scampi - and was very disappointed as it was a very meager portion with very little care given on presentation! Breakfast was alright but again the staff were lacking manners and not very helpful at all. We had ordered poached eggs and eggs benedict - poached eggs were literally poached in vinegar! Inedible as was the eggs benedict as they were swimming in what I can only describe as congealed sauce! This was just a few of the issues we encountered. We had issues with payment (as a double payment was taken) prior to arriving and still trying to get our refund after nearly 3 weeks. We have now raised an action via our bank as managers don’t seem to have a clue on what happened nor how to issue a refund. So overall if you’re not fussed on where you stay or condition of facilities/menu then you’ll be fine but other wise I would avoid and look for other hotels within the area.
